David Bowie
David Bowie's impact on LGBTQ+ culture, hell, ALL culture, is immeasurable, whether he was wearing a gown on the cover of The Man Who Sold the World (1971), or a potentially career-ending coming out as bisexual in the press in 1974. But it was a series of brilliant albums based around an androgynous alien that made David Bowie feel like the "imaginary best friend" of an entire generation who would grow up to normalize and later legalize homosexuality and gay marriage.
